RHOS ON SEA HARBOUR 53° 18.584' N l 003° -44.248'W
Rhos on Sea harbour was formed in the late 1980's after a breakwater was built to protect the local residence from flooding which occurred regularly through the winters.
since built in 1983 it has managed to sustain rhos from any more flooding.
The original moorings to the harbour were a fore and after system, due to the ever increasing number of boats a preferred swinging mooring set up was introduced.
In the early days of the harbour there was almost 70 moorings which comprised of mainly fishing and charter boats, now mainly recreational craft, although there still is a handful of commercial boats there.
The harbour is managed by the local council harbour office in Conwy and any inquiries can be made to them.
The chains are all inspected once a year in March by qualified surveyors and harbour mouth dredged every 2 years.
